ZARNESTI, Romania: Circus bear Mura aroused within the world’s biggest bear sanctuary within the heart of Romania’s mountain range once refusing to perform any more, following 5 years of intolerable abuse.
Caged, crushed and starved by their homeowners, eighty bears reclaimed from captivity are taken in to be well of trauma at the “Liberality” sanctuary, however the method is slow.
Mura as an example instinctively begins to bounce at mealtimes. “She’s still afraid she won’t be fed if she doesn’t dance,” Liberty guide Paula Ciotlos told AFP.

The first 2 bears at the sanctuary were Lidia and Cristi, WHO for seven years shared alittle pen – activity a mere 5 sq. meters – by a edifice whose purchasers diverted themselves by giving the animals brew. Their paws still bear traces of cuts from the glass bottles.
All of the bears within the sanctuary have a “sad however educational” story, same Ciotlos.
By gap its doors to tourists, tho' for no over 3 hours a day, the sanctuary hopes individuals can gain a brand new perspective on animals in captivity.
